VOLUNTEERS

NEW! NEW! - Volunteer Check-In will be located at our new SVAEvents Headquarters, which is the old caretaker's house located directly across the street from the Manor House. Use the side porch entrance. 
GROUP VOLUNTEERS: Click on the Sign Up Link below, find your group and get signed up by March 23rd deadline!

Find Your Job Description
The deadline to pre-order $15 volunteer shirts for group volunteer was Monday, April 2nd.  
If you did not order and would still like to try and get one, please fill out the contact form below.  If we have any left over in your size we will let you know. (Not a guarantee, but we will try) 

If you did order one by April 2nd, it will be waiting for you at the Volunteer Check In for pick up on Friday or Saturday if you want to come pick it up.

    You can request more than one, just tell us Sizes (Small to 3XL) that you would like and qty of each size.

BENEFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND VOLUNTEER CHECK PRESENTATION:
Wed, May 2, 2018 from 6-8:00 pm at the  Smithfield Center.  Each volunteer group can send (2) people and Benefit Orgs, please contact Meredith at Volunteer@SmithfieldVAEvents.com with your RSVP count. 

VOLUNTEER GROUPS & ORGANIZATIONS: 
Pre-arranged Groups/Organizations don't get tickets or shirts, but they do get credit for number of shifts worked and after the event we make a donation to your organization. Groups earn anywhere from $100 to $2000 and up. Donations are based on number of hours your organization works. It's a great way to earn funds for your organization - just show up & work! Most shifts are day of event, but we do have some before and after. Please note, if you are working for a group and want to attend the event, you will have to purchase your own ticket when they go on sale.  Group Volunteers do not get to participate in event as we are making a donation to your organizations. 

Each Group has a group leader that our volunteer manager coordinates with.  We use an on-line program called SIGNUP.COM (previously Volunteer Spot).

We give preference to locally based groups or groups that benefit our local community.

INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS:  (work shifts before, during and after the event for tickets or gift cards)
Due to the fact that our pre-arranged group volunteers have increased over time (we make donations to them...), we don't use too as many individual volunteers as we used to.   But we do have some regular individual volunteers that help us out on a regular basis--- you know who you are!  We will be contacting you over the summer.  IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE AWESOME FOLKS,  go ahead and pop us an email at Volunteer@SmithfieldVAEvents.com and let us know you are in.  

SUPERSTAR SUB-COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS: (work multiple days, supervise an area of the event and often times assist us between events with a variety of glamorous tasks. For each event you get an event shirt, and we make between $150 - $250 donation on your behalf to an non-profit organization of your choice.   Please contact Meredith if you are interested in getting involved as a SUPERSTAR! ​

21 yr & up only. ID's Required. Rain/Shine. No Refunds. No babies/children/pets.  Fest reserved right to stop serving fest attendees who have over-consumed. Proper behavior and responsible post-fest transportation plans are encouraged. Small picnic baskets/coolers permitted. No alcoholic beverages of any kind or glass may be brought into the fest site. Bags/Coolers will be searched. VA Wines & INTERNATIONAL WINES may be purchased & taken home if they are uncorked.    All open wine bottles & brew purchased at event, must remain inside fest site. Our logoed Growlers may be brought back for any event, but must come & leave empty. Click Here for all rules. Please pre-arrange post-event DD's in advance.
